Recovery Run

The plan for today was to do a 7 mile easy run around Town Lake. When I got to RunTex it was lightning with a few drops of rain. It soon became a down pour. Gilbert said he was going to the gym. Alex and I waited with Marci and the skies soon cleared. We took off counterclockwise on the trail. Jan caught us by the little convenience store and we headed off. We got to the north side of the trail and started to see lighting flashes and kept going. Right before we got to the Congress bridge, poor Marci took a spill and got a cut on her head. We kept going as the lightning got closer, but decided to turn around at the Pfluger footbridge. The pace quickened with the lightning and thunder until we got back to RunTex.

Stats - 4.5 miles/41:20
