Recovery Running
Today there were 8 of us for the recovery run. We met at 6AM and the rain had returned. It was still warm and very humid. G signed a couple of his books for some friends of mine in California and we headed off. It was a nice run at a solid pace. It seemed like we all were able to visit with eachother during the run. There was a lot of talk about the upcoming Marathon Relay and it sounded like most of us were on teams for the event. We stopped for warm water at Pfluger and then got some cold water at the Rock. We headed back and I headed straight for the car. I only had minimal time to shower, pack and get Emma to her acting camp.
I am heading to San Jose this afternoon to introduce the new guy to the Sun team. We are heading to the Giants game in San Francisco tonight which should be fun. Unfortunately I have to miss the 2000s tomorrow. I will either hit the preserve for 5-7 miles or do 5 on the treadmill at the hotel.
The new watch worked perfectly today. No outages in the usual spots where my old one would blip and it stayed true even under the MoPac bridge.
Stats - 7.06 miles/1:04:13/9:06 pace
AHR - 130
MHR - 147
